The opening round of the Western Invitational Tournament was a grind out affair with neither team able to mount any sustained runs. Consequently the spread in the game was never more than 8 in the first half. A balanced QÕs attack led to a 14-10 first quarter lead, then expanding to 27-22 at the half. Lyndsey GauleyÕs two 3-pointers were enough to make her the leading QÕs scorer in the half with 6. The third and fourth quarters were much the same, with the lead increasing to 6 by the end of the third, 44-36. Jaime Dale had a great second half, dropping 12 points, and finishing with a game high 17. Sarah Barnes finished with 12 points and 7 boards.
