Waterloo hands Gaels fifth league loss
Queen's 45, Waterloo 58

Although we started the game fairly well, it wasn't long before things went south. A couple of missed hoops (that would normally be considered of the easy variety), coupled with a lack of defensive precision and less than stellar rebounding, led to a late first quarter run by Waterloo to grab a 26-14 lead. Things did not get any better in the second quarter (fans at the game should have asked for a refund) as a total of 14 points were scored in the second frame - to make it worse only 5 of those 14 were Q's points.
Waterloo increased their half time lead, outscoring us 16-11 in the third, making it 51-30 heading into the fourth. While we made a run at them mid way through the quarter, reducing the margin to 12, we never really challenged the outcome. We committed 22 turnovers, in addition to our poor shooting (27%), and struggles on the boards (29-38). Not likely to be competitive with stats like that.
Sarah Barnes was the lone Q's player in double figures with 12 points.
